His pending board certification in ophthalmology is expected in early 2021. Dr. Williams graduated as valedictorian from Munster High School in 2008. He attended Stanford University and graduated with Honors in 2012 with a degree in Human Biology. Dr. Williams received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where he began to develop an appreciation for our sense of sight and a love of cataract surgery. His medical training continued during an internship at Presence Resurrection Hospital in Chicago before returning to the University of Chicago Medicine for his Ophthalmology residency. As a resident, Blake excelled medically and surgically and was awarded the Greenwald Award for Excellence in Extraocular Surgery as a first-year resident. He continued to improve his surgical skills throughout residence and developed a particular interest in surgical glaucoma treatment, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and laser glaucoma surgery. Her focus is on providing medical eye examinations and contact lens fittings, managing ocular diseases, and providing post-operative care following cataract surgery. Dr. Saks graduated cum laude from Indiana University in May 1998. She continued her education at IU receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000 and then completed a medical residency at the Veterans Affairs Center in Danville, Illinois. There she focused on diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma management. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the International Optometric Honor Society, Beta Sigma Kappa, and has donated her time to the Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity (VOSH).
